Best Rojak Ever Tried at Macallum Flat Hock Seng Rojak

I never knew a Rojak could be so good until I have tried this uncle's rojak 6 months ago! 6 months ago, I was at Hock Chuan Heong eating their "bak kee" and lin7702 introduced me this rojak. The fruits and the speacial prawn sauce were separated in two packets... we placed the fruits on top of the sauce to make it looked colorful. Could you see the peanuts?? Yummy.. yummy... the prawn sauce was as sticky as bubble gum! ehmm... I think I have fallen in love with this rojak - this is really a love at first "bite"... ~~

Portugese Egg Tart at King's Confectionary

I crave for Portugese Egg Tart for quite a while after coming back from Macau. This is the only bakery in Penang that I could find Portugese Egg Tart but sorry to say the taste of their Egg Tart is still not up to my expectation - Probably it's not their fault. Maybe it is because I only bought 2 and they put it in a plastic bag and it did't taste as good as it was freshly baked.

The most famous Portugese Egg Tart is from Macau. I still could remember there was a craze about Portugese Egg Tart in late 1990s in Singapore & Taiwan just like the craze about Hello Kitty. Everyone crave for it and waited in long queue to get Portugese Egg Tart!

When lin7702 & I stepped into Deluxcious at night, it was totally different with what it was in the day time. The red & white color combination decoration beautifully blend with its interior design that tell us Christmas is just around the corner.. The resulting warm and relaxing ambiance is perfect for enjoying a meal!:-)

Halal Hokkien Mee at Sifu Omar

Today is a cloudy day and it's good time for us to eat at hawker stall! (That's how we made decision). Went to Sifu Omar - a secluded hawker stall hidden in between Ubi Food Court & Shot Lot next to Island Plaza in Tanjung Tokong. This uncle has been selling Hokkien Mee for years and he is Malay! I was also in doubt when I first heard about it - after visiting his stall, confirming that this is Halal Hokkien Mee (Noodle).

Hokkien Mee (Noodle) is a spicy prawn soup noodle originated from Chinese and it's usually non-Halal for our muslim friends. It's rare to see Malay selling Hokkien Mee. The Hokkien Mee for Sifu Omar tastes no difference with Chinese Hokkien Mee (Dear Muslim Friends: It's a must try for you). It has either chicken or beef flavor. (Oh ya! It's not for Chinese who doesn't take beef! I'm alright with beef :-)) The noodle comes with medium size prawn, chicken meat & intestine slices, egg & sambal (Malaysian Chili Paste)!

Breakfast Alone at Bali Hai

This is another morning that I reached office earlier than anybody does. I parked my car along the roadside. Half way walking toward Bali Hai.. Suddenly I thought of I forgot to hide my bag in the car!! Darn!! Back to my car, luckily my bag was still there.

Took my bag.. I walked toward Bali Hai. I was pretty relaxing at first until when I saw a sign "Beware of Snatch Thief"! Gosh!.. I was alerted and holding my bag tight to my chest, look around before I went further. A good morning was nearly spoilt by a road sign. I'm afraid only Malaysian has Snatch Phobia.

Reached Bali Hai, ordered my favourite - Egg Tart. It's a bit too oily and the base was a bit hard to me. Tell me where could I find great Portugese Egg Tart.. I really crave for it after I came back from HK..

Short Relaxing Moment at Deluxcious

Today is the last day when boss not in the office. Five of us left office on time to enjoy our 2 hours good lunch at somewhere in Town. We have a birthday "mommy" with us.. :-) One of my pretty colleagues just being promoted to "mommy" 2 months ago. We knew that she loves Deluxcious. To celebrate her coming back plus her birthday... we went for it!!

Probably we were a bit too early, when we were there, the "Close" sign is still there. We stepped in and checked (Obviously we just want Deluxcious that Friday Or.. Too troublesome to go somewhere else?! :-D ). Luckily, they are opened.

We told them we need some special birthday arrangement - asked if could they swapped the set lunch's dessert to cake. Here you are the cake that they served our "mommy" and it was freshly baked! Surprised! Each of us have a small bite on the cake. Though is a small cake, but we felt the warmth in our heart. (Mommy: You feel that?? We wish you do)
